- PANTHER GREYHOUNDS
SUNDAY UPDATES - 23RD SEPT '18
It has been quiet of late re posts on the site, as we have been away on holiday. However I'll let Jimmy explain all in the next few days on his own blog page. Below is a listing of the dogs Panther have with Yvonne and their up to date info.
PANTHERS HAWK - HAWK
Having won her first two races at Sunderland she was then struck into in her next race which needed 2 stitches. Superficial as such and expected to be off for 2 weeks, she decided to remove the stitches herself, resulting in a not very successful procedure. As the wound had mostly healed it couldn't be re-stitched so she has been bandaged and muzzled to allow the wound to heal without further help from herself.
PANTHERS RAVEN - RAVEN
Having come 4th on her first run, Raven was well fancied and well backed on her next race and duly obliged ! In fact she duly obliged too well and found too much time and had to re-trial before racing again. Her next race saw her break fast and take the lead at the first bend but down the back she was squeezed up and fell. She was fine afterwards but is now awaiting another trial before she can resume racing. She is well however and shares are available at £139 all in cost for her racing career - if you haven't been involved in the kennels before so you can get an insight as to how things work. The remainder of Raven will now be sold as 10% share units. If you want to join her ownership group, please just get in touch with Anne. 07775 743 885. Her site page will be updated shortly with the new changes.
PANTHERS STORM - STORM
Ran last week but although breaking better he still put in one of his typical races. Just isn't performing as we would have hoped.
PANTHERS DANCER - DANNI
Off track as she is in season although expected back in couple of weeks.
PANTHERS BLUEY - BLUEY
Continues running her heart out in handicaps but racing office have her measure, as she is off scratch giving large chunks of distance away. She tries her best to make up the ground and stays on very well and in her last 7 races she has won 4, been 2nd twice and third once but could do with a little help to get another win.
PANTHERS PIPPA - PIP
Everything happened quickly as Pip went to be spayed on the Friday and went to a rehoming centre on the Monday. She is a very bonny bitch and the centre believe she will be reserved in days. Other dogs can wait months to get a place in the centre. Pip was never really in love with racing, preferring plenty of fuss and human attention as opposed to chasing bunnies around !
HAVANA BLACKBIRD - ANA
Totally undeserved for such a game bitch and our oldest racer. She was running her comeback race since being bitten by another dog and turning for home in the lead and looking the likely winner, Ana stopped quickly and it transpired she had broken a bone in her front leg. She was strapped up and returned to the kennels. At present, she remains strapped but she is much better in herself and getting around better also with a slight limp now. Once fully healed she will be spayed and then hopefully go to her own much deserved loving home and personal sofa.
