PANTHERS BLUEY ran a game race yesterday in trying to make it 3 on the bounce over the 6 bends but came 2nd staying on strong. In fact she stayed on so strong she escaped her catchers and did another full circuit before turning back and doing another half circuit, jumping the rail and doing another half circuit before heading for the kennel entrance - Yvonne in hot pursuit ! Bluey pretty fit but at this rate, Yvonne wont be far behind in the fitness stakes. It was an excellent run by both Bluey and trainer !
Tonight, PANTHERS PIPPA runs her 5th race and downgraded to A7. She is a very loveable bitch who really just seems to love life and plenty of fuss and attention. Immature and not ideal mindset of a racer at present ! She runs her races in two halves. Slow away before the penny drops and she can run on strong but all too late. Hopefully tonight she gets one of her quicker breaks and avoids any problems in running (which she seems to easily find) and hopefully we could see some improvement. Although it is officially a downgrade, the race itself doesn't look any easier than those she has been running in. Hoping for a clear run and she comes home safe. After Jimmy's playing about with her last Saturday morning, let's hope his 'teaching' pays off !
Still haven't been able to post the video so will have to await the cavalry on holiday return.
PANTHERS HAWK hasn't been given any favours by R.M. and starts her Sunderland career on Sunday in an A2. PANTHERS RAVEN will now probably start off in an A3. She will run next week.
DROOPYS RUM a dog we have part owned throughout his career has now officially retired with Jim Daly following last night's race. An Open grade dog he was top rated at 110 and won 22 of his 121 races plus 21 times 2nd. Now just shy of becoming 5 in Sept he can look forward to a retirement with one of his owners who has dogs with Panther at Sunderland. Future headline '' When Jimmy met Rum''
