BACK FROM PAULINE'S
Went away for few days to Pauline's Thatchmire stud on top of the Yorkshire Moors. Only a short drive from where we live but it is in a world of its own. Isolated bar wildlife and horses although only 3 left on the stud now. As Anne said it is sad to see the boxes open but no heads peering out as in the old days. Times are moving on with Sally's yard closed and Pauline's on wind down. However, it wasn't a sad break, as there were lots of the biggest rabbits I have seen popping up from out of the blue around the farm. Plus I always get lots of treats from Pauline. The cottage is very cosy with its log burner and I was happy to get stretched out in front of it on the nights. Daytime was taken up with trips out to the coast when not walking the lanes and I met lots of new friends on my travels. Especially at the impressive Raven Hall Hotel where the staff made a big fuss over me when we called in for coffee. It's in a brilliant location on top of the cliffs overlooking Robin Hoods Bay and has a nice walk around the grounds - although definitely not a place for me to be off lead chasing a rabbit with some daunting drops off the cliffs. Well I'm back home again now and must concentrate on giving all readers a tip on Wed at Sunderland !
