A SAD DAY
PANTHERS SHANIA met with a life ending injury last night on track. Yvonne knows anything that is possible is to be done to save the life of a Panther dog regardless of expense. However, following veterinary advice Shan had to be euthanized. Shan won on her track debut for her owners and looked a very nice prospect. She was still only a pup and it is such a shame her life has been cut short. It is still a shock for ourselves and her owners.
Meanwhile it is back to Sunderland again today to shout on Bluey in her quest to land a three timer.
A bit of good news yesterday was seeing racehorse FINAL GO win at Carlisle. It was one of the two horses we were going to go into with Sally Haynes (Alan Swinbank's partner) before a decision was made for the dispersal sale a few months ago. Final Go was the last horse Alan S. purchased before his untimely death and he would have been pleased to see the horse win for his son who bought him back from the sale. This was his first handicap and won nicely under top weight. He was an unfurnished horse when we went to see him, big but one that looked to have a future with time - and so it is proving. 10'S INTO 6'S would also have pleased Alan S. Also pleased Alan who had a little on but only got 8's ! Next up a win for the second horse we were to have taken up with Sally ?
